Defining Robot Safety & Excellence while
Providing Extreme Levels of Proficiency
Since 2013, Midwest Engineered Systems has been an A3 Certified Robotics Integrator (formerly known as RIA). As a multi-vendor robot integrator, MWES has achieved a high level of proficiency, experience and success in various robotic system integrations. The A3 certification involves a rigorous process that includes an on-site audit, practical assessment of key personnel, safety training and other essential criteria.
What is a certified robot integrator
The A3 Certified Robot Integrator designation is given to robot system integrators that follow industry best practices. The Robotic Industries Association (RIA) created this program in response to the desire of robot end users and integrators to establish industry benchmarks. The RIA Certification program is the only one of its type.
The Robotic Integrator Scorecard was established by RIA with input from end-users, robot manufacturers, component suppliers, and integrators themselves. The scorecard gives a weighted score based on 25 distinct factors such as quality, risk assessments, number of robot integrations, engineering and programming capabilities, to name a few.
Following completion of the scorecard, system integrators may apply for certification, after which they will be audited by a third party for program compliance. If they pass, they can call themselves an RIA Certified Robot Integrator. The auditors retest them every two years to keep the certification.
