Why Use Robots in Food Production?
Integrating automation systems into your process can significantly reduce operational costs and provide compliance with FDA and USDA food handling safety standards. Robotics offer unmatched accuracy and speed, crucial for maintaining the delicate balance between productivity and compliance with food safety standards. Robotic systems can automate picking, packing, sealing, palletizing/depalletizing, forming and any number of production processes related to food production.
Automation systems can also be equipped with non-contact vision inspection systems for reading barcodes, tracking part quantities, ensuring part orientation, checking for defects, etc. Vision systems can then be paired with other automation that performs labeling, reject handling, and sorting to name a few.
Transforming the Future of Food Processing
With the introduction of a robotic food handling division, MWES can offer comprehensive automation solutions that transform the way food is processed, packaged and distributed. The demand for food production is continuously growing and transitioning to automation will keep production throughput steady and cut costs associated with managing a large labor force.
Robotic systems not only automate mundane repetitive tasks but also enhance the precision and safety of food handling. Robot automation is an investment in the future, where robotics and human ingenuity combine to create a more efficient, safe and innovative food supply chain.
